Theology was understood in the early Church and through the Middle Ages specifically being the study of God by the 1100’s and 1200’s the understanding of theology expanded to be a study of divine revelation and with the rise of the universities theology became an academic pursuit along with a religious, ecclesiastical pursuit (Grenz, 1994, p. 2). Here are a few of my favorite books of theology for kids, the ones that have helped form my own understanding of God and that press me into the works of those learned theologians because I want to know more.
